Rumor Control reports the circumstances surrounding Stephen Trujillo receiving the Silver Star for actions under fire during Operation URGENT FURY were misreported. Some say he refused to advance on the downed helicopter whereupon his fellow Rangers physically assisted him out of his cover position and informed him that he was not to return without the crewmembers. In other words, his fellow Rangers grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, tossed him out, lowered weapons on him and told him he either came back with them or die. As I said, this is a rumor. Anyone care to comment? Fellow Rangers maybe?

July 17, 2008Gotta love this one. I like this guy. Spent his own money to make his point and pissed off the Florida DNC in the process. If I ever meet him, I’ll shake his hand and buy him a beer.
I believe his point is that it was the policies of Democrat politicians that led us to 9/11. I have to agree. We were once a nation that the entire world respected. Other nations listened to anything any American had to say just because they were American. Now all we have is their contempt. They spit on us, burn our flag and, for all intents and purposes, call us a nation of pussies. At the height of the Roman Empire, a man could walk anywhere in the known world without fear because if anything happened to them, a legion of soldiers would lay waste to the region/village/town/city. They commanded respect. History is an excellent teacher as I can see America, like Rome, heading for a fall so long as the Democrats have anything to say about it.
The biggest problem I have with Democrats/Liberals (yes, they are one and the same to me) 
is that if they say something stupid and you try to set the record straight, they will cry censorship. If you are successful in proving them wrong, they switch gears and attack your character since they can no longer argue their point. A lot of times by outright lies.
Democrats/Liberals will be the first people in the world to say freedom of speech if it follows their agenda but will not allow anyone who has a different opinion to speak. Doesn’t freedom of speech also mean freedom to dissent? Not to them.
As a general rule, I am not against Democrats/Liberals. They have their place in the world. Mainly for the majority of the world to laugh at.
My wife once made a Freudian slip while we were discussing politics. She was talking about Barrack Obama and called him Obama bin Ladin. Laughed my ass off and still give her grief about it occasionlly.
All it takes for evil to triumph in this country is for good men to do nothing. Vote your conscience.

Why is Ronald A. Gray still on death row?
July 14, 2008I was stationed at Fort Bragg during the time that Ronald Gray was committing his crimes. The murders of SPC Megan Touma and 2LT Holley Wimunc reminded me of that time. At the time, Gray was running amok raping and murdering Laura Lee Vickery-Clay and Kimberly Ann Ruggles (not to underscore Mary Ann Nameth but she was raped and had her throat cut but survived the ordeal to identify Gray as her assailant).
The questions I have for the military are: 1. Why is he still on death row? 2. Why has this piece of shit not been put out of his misery? 3. What excuses have you been giving the families of the murder victims and Mary Ann Nameth (and we all know the maximum effective range of an excuse is, don’t we)? 4. What excuses has the public affairs officer’s been giving to the public and Congress?
Gray’s appeals should have run out a long time ago. I do not like my tax dollars going to feeding and housing a this worthless waste of an orgasm. He should hang today.

A city council made up of girly-men
July 11, 2008I was looking at the news on the foxnews.com yesterday at about 4:30 pm and saw two story lines right next to each other. One read “U.S. a ‘Nation of Whiners’?” and the other read “Signs of Anti-Bias Fight”. It wasn’t the headline on the second story that caught my attention. It was the byline under it that read “Atlanta will be stripped of all “Men at Work” signs after a women’s magazine editor complained of discrimination.”
I must commend the editor of foxnews.com for that oh-so-subtle hint that Cynthia Good, the editor of the women’s magazine, Pink, is a whiner. Somebody over there has a pair of balls. Maybe they can loan them to her.
To the Atlanta city council. What a bunch of pussies! You all deserve to be castrated for being intimidated by a carpet muncher!
This country is going to hell on a rail all because of Democrat, er, uh, I mean bleeding-heart liberals rewriting laws that allow Judeo-Christian values to be undermined. Cynthia Good has probably never been outside the United States except maybe on a vacation tour where they sell you what you want. She should visit some of the places I have been. Get a grip, woman! It’s a man’s world out there. I have seen women get beaten half to death for looking at a man. Imagine what would have happened to her if she had spoken in a disrespectful tone to one. You are a man-hater!
Guys, steer clear of this woman. Better yet, if she can intimidate the Atlanta city council, steer clear of there.

Joe Burkett is no angel
July 6, 2008Once upon a time, I was stationed in Iraq. One of the contractors I worked with was the (in)famous Joe Burkett. Yes, the very same guy who was doinking Lara Logan. Let me set some things straight about him…
1. Joe Burkett is a recipient of the Soldier’s Medal. It is awarded to a person who while serving in any capacity with the Army, distinguished himself or herself by extraordinary heroism not justifying the award of a Medal of Honor; while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing or foreign force; or while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing Armed Force in which the United States is not a belligerent party. The act or acts of heroism must have been so notable and have involved risk of life so extraordinary as to set the individual apart from his or her comrades.
He was on temporary duty in Washington DC and while waiting on the DC Metro train, he saw a woman fall onto the tracks. He jumped down and helped her back up onto the platform then jumped back up himself. Not two seconds after he was back on the platform, the train arrived. He put his life in jeopardy to save another without a second thought. This was witnessed by a reporter from the Washington Post who wrote a story about it and then tracked him down. As a result of his actions, he received the Soldier’s Medal.
2. When I worked with him, he was involved in some questionable activities (i.e. bootlegging). Now, I cannot prove this but I do know for a fact that he set established himself a “non-alcoholic” tiki bar with an inflatable swimming pool in the contractor billeting area. Come on. Who has ever heard of a non-alcoholic tiki bar. But I do give the man the benefit of the doubt.
3. Joe Burkett worked harder at finding ways of not doing his job than actually doing it. It got so bad that he had to be treated like a child in that he had to ask for permission from his supervisor in order to go to lunch, the bathroom, etc.
I won’t go into any more detail about his ethics. But I will say this: Joe Burkett has now lost any credibility he ever had in his career field and no one will hire him unless they are desperate or stupid or both. His reputation will precede him no matter where he goes. He would be well advised to go back to bouncing strip joints.
Joe knew what he was doing. His is no more or less guilty of stupidity than Lara Logan and Michael Ware. I do wish I were a fly on the wall at their fight, though. I would have gotten video and posted it on YouTube.
Joe, if you ever read this, you are definitely getting what’s coming to you. You brought it on yourself. No sympathies.
